Biography
Shane Larsen
Prior to founding Western States Employment Law, P.C., Shane was a principal with the national employment law firm Jackson Lewis P.C. where he represented major corporations and public entities in court. Now as the managing shareholder of Western States Employment Law, Shane’s California practice focuses on employees, ensuring that their workplace rights are protected.
While attending law school in the evening, and following graduation, Shane worked full time at a Washington D.C. employment law firm representing employees in whistleblower retaliation cases and other employment claims under laws such as the False Claims Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, and Title VII.
Before pursuing a career in law, Shane worked as a legislative assistant in the U.S. House of Representatives handling natural resources, agriculture, and related appropriations. Shane also served in the executive office of the president with the Office of Science and Technology Policy as a legal intern.
Shane’s current litigation practice covers employment matters such as retaliation, discrimination, hostile work environment, and wrongful termination.
Because Shane has represented both employees and employers during his legal career, he is uniquely qualified to assist employees with their potential claims and advising them on their options.
Alongside Shane’s civilian legal career, Shane serves as a judge advocate in the US Army Reserve, providing legal representation and counseling for soldiers and commanders in the military.
